Eli to Victoria: The Afterlife.
Birth | Frankenstein, MD - Ep. 15 - YouTube
Did you know I worked on this week’s “Frankenstein, MD”?
Well actually, you shouldn’t have known yet, because I had to keep it a secret that they needed a second fx makeup artist brought in mid-season to help bring the Creature to life. But with the debut of “Birth,” I’m finally allowed to share the news!
Makeup was department headed and designed by Roxanne Pike and assisted by me. And Evan Strand was a champion to sit through several hours of makeup and still come out cheerful, charming, terrifying creature at the end of it all.
DFFL’s 32 Days of Halloween
Day 0 | What to Wear When Reanimating the Dead
What better way to kick of a Halloween-themed series than with a shout-out to pemberleydigital for today’s episode of Frankenstein, MD? I mean, it’s not every day you get to see some awesomely stylish doctors reanimate the corpse of their friend. Well done, vfrankmd and iggydelacey!
Disclaimer: Reanimating the dead should only be attempted by those with sufficient medical expertise and in a properly supervised laboratory setting, as is clearly the case for the experiment in question.
This also means that you must be wearing pants and close-toed shoes. We recommend a comfy pair of jeans or another pair of pants you’ll be okay with contracting stains from blood or other bodily fluids. Nobody said reanimating the dead was easy.
For reanimating the corpse of an old friend, we recommend the familiar. You don’t want to shock the dead with something garrish or unseemly—after all, they were just dead! Darker colors are more appropriate. We recommend a deep red, black, or navy.
Labs get cold—especially when cryogenics are involved—so we recommend long sleeves. The striped tee on the left is from Forever 21 for $7.80. If you’re more into layering than long-sleeve t-shirts, check out this one from Old Navy for $11.50.
While somber is necessary to acknowledge the gravity of your work, you are also bringing forth new life! Notice that Iggy is wearing a light plaid button down over his red t-shirt. Don’t forget that this is a moment worthy of celebration. We recommend your local thrift store—support local business!—or this one from H&M ($29.95).
Don’t forget your merit badge for reanimating the dead from evilsupplyco ($4). We recommend you check out their other products while you’re there (or pester them for cookies, since they’re the dark side and you’re probably famished after such a long day at the lab).
And remember, things are going to get messy and heated. We care about your safety! Be sure to use a surge protector (Amazon, $28.48) and cool down with some ice water (we recommend these brainiac ice cube trays by Fred, which you can buy on Amazon for $8).

I unfortunately have no idea who wrote this saying, but it seemed really appropos.
(It’s animated; be sure to wait until the first five seconds are up and then it’ll move off the first frame. :)
Sara joined Steve on Tabletalk today! (Y’know, the show where Steve spoke about farting on the FMD set a few days ago.)
Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful.
